No customs experience required but essentially from a finance background
We are currently recruiting 5 x Customs Clearance Operators for a local logistics business in Immingham. We are seeking professional and analytical candidates for five temporary to permanent positions based in Immingham. The pay rate/salary is negotiatable dependent on experience. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 0800-1700 and Immingham is commutable from Grimsby, Louth, Scunthorpe and Hull. This role is a temporary to permanent position.
We are seeking five Customs Clearance Coordinators who will be managing the process of calculating and processing customs clearances including duties and taxes. Issuing correct documents on behalf of the customer to ensure that consignments are Customs cleared effectively and to deadline. Build good understanding of all relevant customs related laws and able to advise customers on import/export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements and all other matters related to Customs. Learning and development of all duties and procedures will be managed on site.
*Oversee the creation, link and discharge of all Customs documents and export entries
*Manage the use of customs systems to complete all transactions.
*Completing customer declarations correctly, in a timely manner and with correct values.
*Ensuring their team effectively arrange ad-hoc Customs shipments
*Manages the system between the team and HMRC in reference to compliance issues as required.
*Act as a point of contact for customs clearance issues in the absence of more senior/experienced staff
*Attend relevant seminars and training courses to ensure the maintenance of their understanding of Customs related legislation and requirements.

*Excellent computer literacy
*High level of administration skills
*Preferable basic understanding of the law and regulations surrounding Customs Clearance Requirements
*Preferred minimum 6 months Customs Clearance experience
